Starting a business and publishing on steam under that name

The process to start a business in nb is really streamline. Two quick forms and you’re in.

When you make your Steamworks account, it uses your legal name. Now that I own my business name, I was looking for the way to switch everything over to that. Turns out you don’t have to switch your name over to your business name, and you just type into the two fields whatever you want and I was even told that they don’t care as long as you’re consistent with it.

The next thing to mention is starting your steam page. The “new app” button is so far down the page that scrolling that far through nothing doesn’t even make sense. Under an rss feed of announcements, under the sdk, keep scrolling passed the other tools. And oh look there’s a green button that seems a little bit more important than half way down the nothingness… oh yeah by the way this is on a sidebar and passed all the upcoming sales that are happening for the year.

But it’s done now. Time to apply for grants to help start up costs. 😁
